NLRC Hosts Yoga Wellness Session in Celebration of Women's Month

Quezon City. – In celebration of Women’s Month and in support of gender-related awareness and Gender and Development (GAD) programs, the National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) organized the "Balance and Breathe: A Yoga Wellness Session for Mind and Body" on March 12, 2024, at the 6th Floor of the Benlor Building, Quezon Avenue, Quezon City. This initiative aimed to promote stress reduction and self-care among employees, contributing to their overall well-being and empowerment.

Ms. Andrea Tan, an instructor from Alon Yoga Studio, introduced the concept and benefits of yoga, emphasizing its positive effects on stress management, flexibility, and mental clarity. She highlighted how these benefits are particularly valuable for NLRC personnel, who often manage heavy workloads.

Alongside other instructors from Alon Yoga Studio, Ms. Tan guided participants through various yoga poses and breathing exercises, reinforcing the importance of mindfulness and physical well-being.

Ms. Amalia L. Celino, Head of the Administrative Division, expressed her gratitude to the Alon Yoga Studio instructors and the employees who participated in the event. She underscored the significance of such activities in fostering employee well-being and recognized the session as one of many GAD initiatives planned for Women’s Month.

The yoga session is part of a broader effort to promote gender equality and employee empowerment within the NLRC. By integrating wellness activities into its GAD programs, the Commission continues to support a more balanced and inclusive workplace for all employees.
