About us

Message from the Chairperson.

The National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC), a quasi-judicial agency under the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), is tasked with resolving labor and management disputes for both local and overseas workers through compulsory arbitration and alternative dispute resolution methods. With a strategic mission in place, the NLRC has pursued an extensive labor and employment agenda in recent years, aiming to be the primary government agency promoting and maintaining industrial peace based on social justice through efficient dispute settlement mechanisms.

In collaboration with the DOLE, the NLRC is currently implementing President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr.’s Labor and Employment Agenda, focusing on streamlined procedures, reduction of bureaucracy, integrity restoration, and reinforcement of the arbitration and adjudication system. While earnestly pursuing its core objectives of resolving disputes justly and ensuring industrial peace, the NLRC continues to adopt innovative policies, landmark reforms, and practices to attain its goals.

Since its inception, the NLRC has persistently pursued labor and employment reforms to enhance services and address adjudication process issues. The NLRC's extensive campaign, supported by both public and private sectors, has enabled it to achieve significant milestones. Together with my colleagues, including fellow Commissioners, Labor Arbiters, and the entire NLRC staff, I am eager to collaborate with stakeholders in fostering dynamic industrial peace with transparency, fairness, and accountability amid these challenging circumstances.
