NLRC Visayas Division Processes 174 FOI Requests in Record Time

Cebu City – The National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) Seventh Division, based in Cebu City, has efficiently processed 174 Freedom of Information (FOI) requests in 2024, achieving an impressive average turnaround time of just 1.07 days per request.

According to its FOI registry submitted to the NLRC Central Office, the Seventh Division handled various requests, including Certificates of No Pending Case, certified true copies, and photocopies of official documents. Over a period of 187 days, the division successfully fulfilled these requests with remarkable efficiency.

Among the 174 FOI requests received, 122 (70.11%) were filed in person at the division’s office, while 52 (29.89%) were submitted online through its official email. Requests were distributed throughout the year, with 57 received in the first quarter, 54 in the second quarter, 33 in the third quarter, and 30 in the fourth quarter.

FOI requests are among the services offered by the NLRC Seventh Division under the NLRC Citizen’s Charter. Committed to efficiency and transparency, the division ensures that all requests are processed within the prescribed timelines.
