NLRC Releases Over P2.76 Billion in Judgment Awards in 2025

Quezon City — The National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC), through its Financial and Management Division (FMD), released a total of ₱2,766,803,976.49 in judgment awards to 12,225 worker-complainants nationwide during the calendar year 2025, covering the period from January to December.

According to the FMD, the released amount came from respondent-companies adjudged liable and ordered by the Commission to satisfy workers’ monetary claims. These awards arose from cases involving illegal dismissal, underpayment or non-payment of wages and benefits, and other violations of labor standards laws.

The FMD reported that all disbursements were processed in strict compliance with existing financial rules and procedures, ensuring transparency, accountability and the timely release of funds to rightful beneficiaries.

Chairperson Grace E. Maniquiz-Tan underscored the Commission’s steadfast commitment to protecting workers’ rights and enforcing labor judgments. She noted that the release of more than ₱2.76 billion in judgment awards in 2025 demonstrates the NLRC’s dedication to providing swift and meaningful justice to workers. She further remarked that behind these figures are thousands of workers whose rights have been safeguarded and whose livelihoods have been restored.

This milestone aligns with the NLRC’s mandate to administer labor laws fairly and expeditiously, reaffirming its continuing commitment to strengthening public trust through efficient, transparent, and responsive service delivery.

The Commission reminded stakeholders to transact only with authorized NLRC offices in the enforcement of monetary awards and cautioned the public against fixers and ambulance chasers.
