NLRC Empowers BAC Members and Supply Officers through Webinar-Workshop

QUEZON CITY – In its ongoing pursuit of effective governance, the National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) successfully conducted a two-part Webinar-Workshop designed to enrich the knowledge and skills of Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) Members and Supply Officers.  These sessions took place on August 23 and 29, 2023, and proved to be an essential program for enhancing the agency’s procurement procedures.

The main thrust of the webinars is to equip the participants with a thorough understanding of the government’s procurement process.  Through interactive sessions, attendees were guided through the intricacies of document preparation, and eventually making them well-versed in the necessary steps to execute efficient procurement operations.

One of the focal points of the webinars was addressing the critical needs and issues pertinent to the NLRC’s adherence to BAC-related Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) requirements.  By addressing these aspects, the NLRC reiterates its commitment to transparency and accountability in its procurement processes.

The participants in this informative event comprised a diverse group, including BAC Members, Secretariat members, Supply Officers and Administrative Officers V from the Central Office, Regional Arbitration Branches (RABs), and the 7th and 8th Divisions.

With a resolute focus on fostering expertise and compliance, the NLRC’s initiative to conduct such webinars reflects its continuous dedication to enhancing the agency’s operational efficiency and transparency.  Through equipping its team with the necessary tools, the NLRC is poised to improve its service to its constituents and uphold the principles of good governance.
