NLRC Initiates Early Procurement Activities for FY 2024

QUEZON CITY. The National Labor Relations Commission's (NLRC) Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) has commenced the Early Procurement Activity (EPA) for the fiscal year 2024, in compliance with Republic Act 9184, also known as the Government Procurement Reform Act.

 

EPA involves the initiation of procurement processes for goods, infrastructure projects, and consulting services that are slated for delivery, implementation, or rendering in the upcoming fiscal year, contingent upon the approval of the General Appropriations Act (GAA).

 

Presided over by BAC Chairperson Labor Arbiter Vilma Maria S. Plan-Barrera, the EPA meeting brought together the BAC's Regular Members, Deputy Executive Clerks of Courts (DECs) Felicidad B. Ico, Purdey P. Perez and Sheryl E. Paquidao, and Atty. Tarcila B. Nepomuceno-Banda. 

 

The session was also attended by the BAC Technical Working Group (TWG), comprised of Atty. Nikki Isabel G. Balanquit, Ms. Daisee A. Tismo, MS. Daniella Denise Y. Villena and Ms. Jenny Rose P. Limocon. Also present are the BAC Secretariat, comprised of Atty. Ma. Dominique M. Venus, Ms. Alna E. Samontañes, Ms. Jennifer D. Canoy, Ms. Jacqueline G. Blazo, Mr. Ellun N. Delima, and Mr. Joseph Luis B. Macam. 

 

By convening this meeting, the NLRC aims to continue to streamline its procurement processes, enhance efficiency, and uphold transparency and accountability in all its endeavors.

 

This initiative underscores NLRC's commitment to meticulous planning and adherence to legal guidelines in the procurement processes, by ensuring the effective utilization of resources and the seamless execution of projects in the upcoming fiscal year.
