Quezon City — The National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) received the Gold Award for its very satisfactory implementation of the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE) Communication Program for Fiscal Year 2024, affirming its commitment to transparency and effective public service communication.

The recognition was conferred during the “Gawad LIO” awarding ceremony held on July 29, 2025, at the Hive Hotel and Convention Place, Quezon City, in conjunction with the Capacity Building for Labor Information Officers (LIOs) on Gender-Sensitive Digital Media Content Production for DOLE Programs.

Organized by the DOLE Information and Public Service (IPS), the event honored DOLE Regional Offices, Bureaus, and Attached Agencies that have exhibited excellence, consistency, and dedication in performing their communication responsibilities.

In 2024, the NLRC surpassed its target of 36 good news stories or press releases under its Office Performance Commitment Review (OPCR) by publishing a total of 53, demonstrating its commitment to proactive information dissemination.

Building on this momentum, the NLRC has already published 163 news articles and press releases from January to July 30, 2025. These stories highlighted the Commission’s efforts in the successful settlement and resolution of labor disputes, execution of judgments, collaborative initiatives with other government agencies and stakeholders, and its major accomplishments and activities.

Chairperson Grace E. Maniquiz-Tan affirmed the NLRC’s continued commitment to fostering open communication and proactively bringing its services closer to the public. She noted that the recognition serves as further inspiration for the Commission to build public trust through timely, transparent, and meaningful information.

The NLRC extends its gratitude to the DOLE-IPS and all stakeholders who support its mission of delivering efficient labor justice while promoting a culture of responsive and inclusive communication.
