NLRC Conducts HMO Benefits Orientation for Employees in Coordination with PhilBritish Insurance

Quezon City — In line with its continuing commitment to promote employee welfare and well-being, the National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC), in coordination with PhilBritish Insurance—the Commission’s accredited Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) provider—successfully conducted an orientation on HMO benefits on July 16, 2025, via Google Meet.

Spearheaded by the NLRC Employees Association (NLRCEA) in collaboration with the Administrative Division, the orientation aimed to provide NLRC officials and employees with a clearer understanding of their healthcare coverage, procedures for availing medical services, and other essential healthcare-related information under the PhilBritish HMO program.

NLRC Chairperson Grace E. Maniquiz-Tan emphasized the importance of fully utilizing available health benefits as a means of supporting the physical and mental well-being of the Commission’s workforce. She noted that the employees are the Commission’s most valuable asset, and that empowering them with information on how to effectively access their health benefits is vital to building a healthier and more productive work environment.

Representatives from PhilBritish Insurance presented a comprehensive overview of HMO inclusions, step-by-step guides on availing outpatient and inpatient services, guidelines for reimbursement, and other updates relevant to employee healthcare.

The virtual session drew a strong attendance from across NLRC offices nationwide, with employees expressing appreciation for the opportunity to clarify procedures and raise questions directly with the HMO provider.

This initiative forms part of NLRC’s broader agenda to continuously enhance employee support services and ensure the well-being of its personnel through accessible and responsive healthcare systems.
