Recognizing the pivotal role communication plays in daily operations, the NLRC is determined to establish a clear and precise voice when engaging with stakeholders, to avoid confusion and misunderstandings.
The training’s focused objectives are as follows: (a) Recognize the characteristics of effective and ineffective written and oral communication; (b) Implement techniques to enhance oral and written communication skills; (c) Identify barriers to communication and understand when and where they occur; (d) Cultivate self-confidence, adopt the right mindset, and approach public speaking with competence; and (e) Reinforce communication fundamentals by practicing writing etiquette.
Miss Anne Clarisse Marzan-De Leon, an expert from the Department of English, Foreign Language and Linguistics of the College of Arts and Letters at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, served as the resource speaker for the seminar.
Representing the NLRC, Commissioner Leonard Vinz O. Ignacio honored the event with his insightful and inspiring opening remarks, settling the tone for a productive and motivating experience for all participants.
The training commenced with a pre-test to assess the strengths and weaknesses of the participants on the topic. Miss De Leon then proceeded with her engaging presentation, delving into the vast and intricate word of language. As the event drew to a close, a post-test was administered to evaluate the participants’ learning progress, which they all passed with flying colors.
With pride and satisfaction, it can be confidently said that the training was a big success, and all participants have undoubtedly leveled up their communication prowess. It is noteworthy to stress that the NLRC remains steadfast in its commitment to continuous institutional improvement and its duty to provide highest quality of service to the public. END
