NLRC NCR SENA Desk Facilitates P2.7 Million Settlement for OFW Seafarer
Quezon City. – The National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) National Capital Region (NCR) Single Entry Approach (SENA) Desk has successfully facilitated a significant settlement amounting to P2,745,740.00 for an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) seafarer. SENA Conciliator-Mediator Josephine A. Gallenero supervised the settlement process.
The seafarer, whose claim involved employment disputes with his maritime employer, received the settlement following a series of mediation sessions aimed at reaching an amicable resolution. This case underscores the NLRC's commitment to protecting the rights of Filipino workers, both local and overseas.
Providing financial relief to the seafarer, the successful resolution also reinforces the importance of the SENA program in facilitating speedy and amicable settlements in labor disputes.
