NLRC NCR SENA Desk Facilitates P3.79 Million Settlement for Heirs of OFW Seafarer

Quezon City. – The National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) National Capital Region (NCR) Single Entry Approach (SENA) Desk has successfully facilitated a significant settlement amounting to P3,799,900.00 for the heirs of an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) seafarer. Assisted by SENA Conciliator-Mediator Josephine A. Gallenero and witnessed by other NLRC officials, the settlement represents a major victory for the seafarer’s family.

The seafarer, whose claim involved employment disputes with his maritime employer, had his case settled following a series of mediation sessions aimed at reaching an amicable resolution. This case underscores the NLRC's commitment to protecting the rights of Filipino workers, both local and overseas.

Providing financial relief to the seafarer’s heirs, the successful resolution also reinforces the importance of the SENA program in facilitating speedy and amicable settlements in labor disputes.
