NLRC RAB V SENA Desk Facilitates P90K Settlement for Housekeeper
Legazpi City. – The National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) Regional Arbitration Branch V (RAB V) Single Entry Approach (SENA) Desk has successfully facilitated a settlement amounting to P90,000.00 for a housekeeper. Assisted by SENA Conciliator-Mediator Agnes Bandagoza, the settlement resolved an employment dispute and highlighted the effectiveness of the SENA program in addressing labor issues.
The housekeeper, who sought resolution for unpaid wages and other benefits, reached an amicable agreement with her manpower agency following a series of mediation sessions.
Under Republic Act No. 10361, also known as the Batas Kasambahay, and its Implementing Rules and Regulations, a kasambahay is entitled to the minimum wage as fixed in R.A. No. 10361, along with other mandatory benefits such as daily and weekly rest periods, service incentive leave, 13th month pay, and other social security benefits.
