NLRC NCR Arbitration Branch Settles Senior Database Administrators' Claims Against IT Firm
QUEZON CITY- The National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) National Capital Region (NCR) Arbitration Branch successfully mediated the settlement of claims filed by 10 senior database administrators against a leading IT and Business Consulting Firm. Totaling ?19,273,291.90, the settlement addressed various monetary claims stemming from the employer-employee relationship.
Amicable resolution of the dispute was achieved through the efforts of Labor Arbiter Omar Cris F. Casimiro, who managed the settlement process.
This case highlights the NLRC’s continued commitment to safeguarding workers' rights and balancing employers’ prerogative, particularly within the IT and BPO sectors.
Both parties expressed satisfaction with the settlement, which avoided potentially lengthy litigation and provided a just resolution.
