NLRC RAB XIII SENA Desk Facilitates P503K Settlement for Production Workers

Butuan City – The National Labor Relations Commission Regional Arbitration Branch No. XIII (NLRC RAB XIII) Single Entry Approach (SENA) Desk has successfully facilitated a settlement amounting to P503,379.44 for 21 production workers of a manufacturing company. Assisted by SEnA Conciliator-Mediator Sylvia R. Maquinano and Desk Officer Maria Christine V. Casing, the settlement addressed an employment dispute and demonstrated the effectiveness of the SENA program in resolving labor issues.

The production workers, who sought redress for separation pay and other monetary claims, reached a mutual settlement with their employer, a manufacturing firm based in Bislig, Surigao del Sur. This was accomplished after a series of mediation sessions that ensured a fair and just resolution for all parties involved.

Serving as a vital mechanism for both workers and employers, the SENA program aims to provide a speedy and amicable resolution of labor conflicts without resorting to prolonged litigation. By focusing on conciliation and mediation, it provides a platform for fair negotiations and prompt settlements, thereby fostering a more harmonious labor environment.

The NLRC continues to uphold its commitment to protecting workers' rights and welfare, ensuring that justice is delivered in a timely, fair, and equitable manner. This latest success further reinforces the agency’s role in promoting labor stability and social justice in the region.
