NLRC RAB X SEnA Desk Facilitates P654K Settlement for Five Manpower Services Workers
Cagayan de Oro City — Demonstrating its steadfast commitment to the fair and expeditious resolution of labor disputes, the National Labor Relations Commission – Regional Arbitration Branch X (NLRC RAB X) successfully facilitated the settlement of monetary claims amounting to ₱654,924.93 in favor of five workers against a manpower services company.
The settlement was reached through the Single Entry Approach (SEnA) Desk Office, with the assistance of SEnA Conciliators-Mediators Aslimah Mima P. Tomawis and Freddie C. Garcillano, Jr. The requesting parties included a supervisor, storekeeper, foreman, and welders, who filed for various monetary claims stemming from their previous employment with the manpower service provider.
As part of the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE) labor dispute prevention strategy, the SEnA program is implemented by the NLRC to offer an accessible, impartial, and cost-free dispute resolution mechanism that aims to resolve labor issues at the earliest possible stage, before they proceed to formal arbitration.
This recent resolution not only ensured fair and timely relief for the affected workers but also highlighted the role of SEnA in promoting dialogue and understanding between labor and management. It reaffirms the NLRC’s commitment to effective dispute resolution and the preservation of industrial peace.
NLRC RAB X continues to encourage workers and employers alike to avail themselves of the SEnA mechanism for resolving labor disputes amicably, efficiently, and in a spirit of mutual respect.
