NLRC joins 4th Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill

QUEZON CITY—Reinforcing its support to national preparedness efforts, officials and employees of the National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) Main Office and Regional Arbitration Branches (RABs) took part in the 4 th Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on November 6, 2025 at 9:00AM.

The drill aimed to assess preparedness, raise awareness, and ensure public safety through well-organized evaluation and response procedures, especially in light of the recent earthquake and other disasters in the country.

The NLRC personnel practiced earthquake response protocols, including "Duck, Cover, and Hold," wearing hard hats, and orderly evacuation to designated assembly areas along Quezon Avenue and Panay Avenue. This was monitored by the NLRC Safety and Security Committee in the Main Office and National Capital Region Arbitration Branch, as well as the 7th and 8th Divisions and all other RABs.

The Commission has participated in the quarterly NSEDs in compliance with the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council Memorandum No. 27, s. 2025. This program is under the leadership of the Office of Civil Defense.

An information, education, and communication (IEC) material was also disseminated by the Administrative Division to serve as guide for all employees on what to do before, during, and after an earthquake.
