NLRC opens 51 st anniversary celebration with thanksgiving mass
QUEZON CITY—The National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) officially jumpstarts the
celebration of its 51st founding anniversary and the 2025 Labor Relations (LR) Week with a thanksgiving mass held at the Main Office on November 3, 2025.
Chairperson Grace E. Maniquiz-Tan led NLRC officials and employees in expressing gratitude for 51 years of public service and steadfast work to uphold speedy, fair, and equitable labor
justice for all.
In his homily, mass celebrant Fr. Judy Bañez, SVD, enjoined the NLRC community to remember the goodness they have shared with others; to rejoice, to keep a joyful heart, and to continue
exuding positivity; and to keep on renewing their vigor, spirit, and ardent desire to serve others.
“I hope that you also remember that for the past 51 years, you have become a bastion of goodness to other people. May you remember the goodness that reigns immortal in you and
continue to nourish it,” he said.
With the theme “Pagpupugay sa Manggagawa”, the NLRC’s 51st founding anniversary and 2025 LR Week celebration highlights the Commission’s commitment and responsibility to recognize the dignity, resilience, and important contributions of all workers in advancing national development.
Other activities lined up for the celebration include a consultation and briefing on the campaign against ambulance-chasing with practicing lawyers; a dialogue with sea-based and land-based overseas Filipino workers and management representatives; and wellness and outreach missions. The culminating activity and a general assembly will be held on November 27, 2025.
