NLRC and DOLE-NCR Conduct Orientation for Government Internship Program (GIP) Beneficiaries
Quezon City — The National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC), in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment – National Capital Region (DOLE-NCR) Quezon City Field Office, conducted an orientation for the Government Internship Program (GIP) beneficiaries deployed at the NLRC Central Office on October 20, 2025.
The orientation aimed to familiarize the interns with the Commission’s mandate, organizational structure, and the key responsibilities of each office, as well as to promote work ethics, professionalism, and public service values during their deployment.
Representing DOLE-NCR Quezon City Field Office was Engr. Martin T. Jequinto, who provided an overview of the GIP’s objectives and guidelines.
Meanwhile, NLRC officials welcomed the interns and expressed appreciation to the DOLE-NCR Quezon City Field Office for its continued partnership in nurturing the next generation of public servants. The activity also served as a venue to orient the interns on workplace policies, office protocols, and the importance of upholding integrity and efficiency in public service.
The Government Internship Program (GIP) is a flagship initiative of the Department of Labor and Employment designed to provide college graduates and young jobseekers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various government agencies. Through this collaboration, the NLRC reaffirms its commitment to supporting youth empowerment and contributing to the national agenda of inclusive employment and capacity-building for young professionals.
