NLRC Holds Orientation and Free Wellness Check Program to Promote Healthy Lifestyle Among Employees
Quezon City. – The National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC), through the Administrative Division and in partnership with Herbalife, conducted a free Orientation and Wellness Check Program on November 14, 2025, at the NLRC Main Office, Ben-Lor Building, Quezon Avenue, Quezon City. This health and wellness activity forms part of the Commission's continuing Wellness Mission Program aimed at strengthening employee well-being and promoting a healthier workforce.
The initiative seeks to raise awareness on the value of proper nutrition, regular body composition monitoring, and the adoption of healthy lifestyle habits among NLRC officials and employees. This activity featured comprehensive wellness assessments, including Body Composition Analysis measuring weight, body fat percentage, muscle mass, visceral fat, metabolic age, and other key health indicators. Participants also received guidance on proper nutrition and individualized wellness practices from trained health coaches and nutrition specialists.
In her welcome remarks, Commissioner Donna C. Ramos emphasized the importance of prioritizing health as a means of preventing illnesses and maintaining efficiency in public service. She pointed out that government work can be demanding and stressful, underscoring the need for personnel to take proactive measures to protect their physical and mental well-being. Commissioner Ramos stressed that the NLRC cannot serve the public effectively if its workforce is unwell, and that preventing illnesses through proper nutrition and healthy habits is both a personal responsibility and an institutional priority. She also urged employees to make full use of the Commission’s wellness programs and to adopt healthier routines in their daily lives.
Participants expressed appreciation for the initiative, citing that the program helped them better understand their current health status and areas for improvement. Herbalife’s wellness team also delivered a short orientation on balanced nutrition and sustainable lifestyle changes, empowering NLRC personnel to make informed health decisions.
The NLRC Wellness Mission Program forms part of the Commission’s broader Human Resource and Development efforts focused on enhancing workforce capacity, productivity, and quality of life. Additional wellness activities and seminars are scheduled as part of the Commission’s commitment to fostering a healthy, resilient, and service-oriented work environment.
