NLRC-RAB IX Facilitates Release of More Than ₱3.9 Million in Judgment Awards

Zamboanga City – The National Labor Relations Commission Regional Arbitration Branch IX (NLRC-RAB IX) successfully facilitated the release of more than ₱3.9 million in judgment awards and monetary settlements in favor of workers from various industries, reaffirming the Commission’s commitment to the prompt enforcement of labor decisions and the protection of workers’ rights.

Among the beneficiaries was an agrarian worker who received ₱524,819.65 in separation pay and money claims against a multi-purpose cooperative.

In another successful enforcement action, two store attendants obtained full satisfaction of their judgment awards against a convenience store. The workers received monetary awards covering separation pay, backwages, 13th month pay, and unpaid wages amounting to ₱88,502.80 and ₱78,302.34, respectively.

A logistics worker likewise secured a substantial monetary award amounting to ₱2,922,140.50 against a logistics company for separation pay and other money claims.

Meanwhile, a retail staff member received ₱300,000.00 in separation pay and money claims against a wholesale company.

The release of the award was facilitated by Cashier Kurt Justine Benzonan and Sheriff Christian Eric H. Agudera through the Commission’s execution mechanisms.

These successful releases demonstrate the continuing efforts of NLRC-RAB IX to ensure the effective enforcement of labor judgments and the speedy delivery of monetary awards to workers. Through coordinated execution proceedings and efficient case management, the Commission continues to strengthen access to justice and uphold the rights and welfare of Filipino workers across various sectors.
