QUEZON CITY – The National Labor Relations Commission – National Capital Region (NLRC-NCR) has achieved another significant milestone by effectively facilitating the execution of P10.67 million judgment award. This landmark ruling is in favor of a 2^nd Engineer OFW-seafarer, who has been granted total and permanent disability benefits due to a work-related injury.  

Said amount encompasses various components, including benefits outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), reimbursement of repatriation and related expenses, as well as damages.

Execution of the judgment award also highlights the successful resolution of the case and serves as a precedent for the protection of workers’ rights and welfare.

This successful case sets a precedent for similar claims, further solidifying the legal safeguards available to OFWs who encounter work-related challenges during their overseas employment.
