NLRC RAB VIII Facilitates P6.18M Settlement for OFW's Disability Benefits
TACLOBAN CITY. – In a significant victory for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), the National Labor Relations Commission Regional Arbitration Branch No. VIII (NLRC RAB VIII) successfully facilitated a settlement amounting to P6,183,244.80 for the disability benefits claims of an able-bodied seaman against a prominent shipping company.
The settlement, which was mediated by Executive Labor Arbiter Amelia B. Docena, represents a substantial achievement in ensuring that OFWs receive the rightful compensation they deserve for their contributions and sacrifices.
