Quezon City – The National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) National Capital Region Arbitration Branch successfully facilitated a settlement amounting to ?575,937.00 for an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) seafarer during a mandatory conciliation-mediation conference.

The settlement, which addressed the seafarer’s disability benefit claims, was facilitated with the assistance of Francis T. Flotildes, Labor Arbitration Associate, and Marck T. Foster, Stenographic Reporter III, from the Office of Labor Arbiter Salvador T. Alcuino, Jr.

Mandatory conciliation-mediation at the Labor Arbiter level remains a vital mechanism for the amicable resolution of labor disputes and the promotion of industrial peace.
