NLRC Sub-RAB XII in General Santos City Facilitates Post-Decision Settlement for 56 Workers from Sarangani Province
General Santos City – The National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) Sub-Regional Arbitration Branch (Sub-RAB) 12 in General Santos City successfully facilitated a post-decision settlement of labor disputes involving 56 workers from Sarangani Province against a manpower agency, with a total monetary settlement amounting to ?1.3 million.
Led by Executive Labor Arbiter Jocelyn A. Vasallo, the post decision settlement underscored NLRC’s ongoing commitment to delivering accessible and equitable avenues for labor justice. ELA Vasallo was assisted by Juliet G. Taborete, Administrative Assistant V, and Julienne Joyce G. Bautista-Ariston, Labor Arbitration Associate.
The dispute arose following a decision rendered by the NLRC in favor of the complainants. With the assistance of the NLRC Sub-RAB 12 personnel, the workers and the respondent manpower agency reached a mutually agreed settlement, which helped avoid further legal delays and provided immediate relief to the affected employees.
This case’s resolution demonstrates the effectiveness of NLRC’s post-decision mechanisms and highlights the proactive role of its field offices in enforcing decisions and promoting voluntary compliance. It also reflects the agency’s broader commitment to promoting industrial peace through efficient and compassionate handling of labor disputes.
The NLRC encourages workers and employers alike to engage in open dialogue and to avail themselves of its services to resolve labor concerns in a just and timely manner.
