KADIWA Rolling Store Launches at NLRC Main Office

Quezon City — The National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) welcomed the launch of the KADIWA ng Pangulo Rolling Store at its Main Office on May 2, 2025, offering affordable fresh produce and processed agricultural goods directly to employees and clients.

A wide array of locally sourced vegetables, fruits, poultry products, and specialty food items—such as dried fish, bottled crab paste, chili-garlic paste, sautéed tomatoes, and “sinantolan”—were sold by farmers from various regions across Luzon, bringing the products straight from farm to table.

Starting this May, the KADIWA Rolling Store will be stationed monthly at the NLRC Main Office, operating Monday to Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. All officials and employees are encouraged to support the initiative, which seeks to make nutritious food more accessible while championing sustainability and empowering local producers.

Spearheaded by the Department of Agriculture (DA), the KADIWA ng Pangulo program is designed to enhance market access for farmers and producers, while ensuring that consumers benefit from lower prices. At present, the program has established 287 regular KADIWA stores and 120 pop-up stores nationwide.

“This initiative is a great way to make food readily available and accessible to consumers like us,” said one NLRC staff after purchasing fresh vegetables from the KADIWA store.

Through this endeavor, the NLRC reaffirms its commitment to supporting the agriculture and fisheries sector—an essential pillar of the country’s workforce and economic development.
