NLRC Conducts Orientation on Enhanced System for Processing Requests for Certified True Copies of Case Documents

Quezon City – The National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) conducted an orientation on the implementation of its enhanced system for processing requests for certified true copies and photocopies of case documents on May 7, 2025, at the NLRC 6th Floor, Ben-Lor Building, Quezon Avenue, Quezon City.

Facilitated by the NLRC Data Center, the orientation was attended by frontline personnel and administrative staff from various NLRC offices. This activity forms part of the Commission’s efforts to streamline its external services and improve service delivery under the Citizen’s Charter.

The new system seeks to enhance the efficiency, transparency, and accessibility of the process for requesting certified true copies and photocopies of case-related documents. These documents are often required by party-litigants, legal representatives, and other stakeholders in ongoing or resolved labor disputes.

NLRC Chairperson Grace E. Maniquiz-Tan underscored the importance of modernizing the Commission's internal systems to enhance public service. She noted that the initiative demonstrates the NLRC’s commitment to improving service delivery through digitalization, clearer procedures, and faster turnaround times. According to her, streamlining the request process will help minimize delays and promote greater accountability in the management of case documents.

The enhanced system also supports the government's broader agenda of reducing bureaucratic red tape and fostering a more citizen-friendly public sector. With the new process in place, the NLRC expects more efficient handling of document requests, minimizing physical queues and manual processing.

As part of the orientation, the Data Center presented a walkthrough of the revised workflow, including updated forms, tracking mechanisms, and response timelines. A Q&A session followed, allowing participants to raise implementation concerns and propose suggestions.

The Commission will begin full implementation of the enhanced system immediately following the orientation, with guidelines and process flow charts to be disseminated across all regional arbitration branches.
