NLRC-NCR SEnA Desk Office Facilitates Over P1.1 Million in Settlements for Six Workers
Quezon City – Reinforcing its mandate to promote accessible and expeditious resolution of labor disputes, the National Labor Relations Commission – National Capital Region (NLRC-NCR) successfully facilitated a total of ₱1,121,385.83 in settlement awards through its Single Entry Approach (SEnA) Desk Office.
The settlements benefitted six individual workers across diverse industries. These include:
• ₱399,021.00 awarded to a Business Development Director representing various monetary benefits claimed from a business development corporation;
• ₱362,615.00 granted to a Fisherman employed by an ocean shipping company, covering claims for salary differentials;
• ₱279,985.20 settled for a Collector Supervisor of a banking collection agency, representing unpaid salary, bonuses, and other benefits;
• ₱14,764.60 released to a Security Guard employed by a security and investigation agency, also for salary differentials;
• ₱35,000.00 settled for an Agency Staff of a recruitment agency, also for salary differentials; and
• ₱30,000.00 awarded to an Office Staff of a service development company for unpaid overtime pay.
All six settlements were successfully facilitated by SEnA Conciliator-Mediator Josephine A. Gallenero, who guided the parties through conciliation and helped reach mutually acceptable agreements.
These outcomes highlight the continued effectiveness of the SEnA program in resolving labor concerns at the earliest possible stage. The NLRC-NCR remains committed to upholding workers’ rights while ensuring due process for all parties involved through prompt, fair, and non-litigious methods of dispute settlement.
The SEnA program, implemented by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and its attached agencies like the NLRC, aims to reduce the inflow of formal labor cases and promote industrial harmony through conciliation-mediation.
