NLRC NCR Arbitration Branch Facilitates P3.24 Million Settlement for Heirs of Deceased Seafarer
Quezon City – Demonstrating its steadfast commitment to fair and efficient labor dispute resolution, the National Labor Relations Commission – National Capital Region (NLRC-NCR) Arbitration Branch successfully facilitated the settlement of a claim for death benefits amounting to ₱3,240,500.00 in favor of the heirs of a deceased seafarer.
The settlement was reached through the efforts of Labor Arbiter Salvador C. Alcuino, Jr., who presided over the proceedings between the heirs and the concerned maritime agency. Representing the total death compensation and related benefits, the amount is due to the seafarer’s family under applicable labor and maritime laws.
Through timely intervention and impartial arbitration, the Commission continues to ensure just outcomes for labor disputes, especially in cases involving bereaved families seeking lawful compensation.
