NLRC RAB V Facilitates Settlement of Retirement and Separation Benefits for Driver and Security Guards
Legazpi City – The National Labor Relations Commission Regional Arbitration Branch (NLRC RAB) V successfully facilitated the settlement of labor cases involving a company driver and seven security guards, resulting in the release of monetary benefits amounting to more than ₱1.1 million.
A company driver received ₱203,062.50, representing retirement benefits, following the settlement of a case filed against a manufacturing company.
In a separate settlement, seven security guards were awarded a total of ₱901,350.00, covering retirement benefits, 13th month pay, and separation pay arising from cases filed against security agencies.
The amicable settlements were facilitated by Executive Labor Arbiter Cherry P. Sarmiento and Labor Arbiter Gener T. Caño, whose guidance and mediation efforts ensured the prompt and fair resolution of the disputes.
NLRC RAB V emphasized that voluntary settlements play a crucial role in providing speedy relief to workers while promoting harmonious labor-management relations. The Branch reiterated its commitment to resolving labor disputes through conciliation and mediation, consistent with the NLRC’s mandate to deliver accessible, fair, and efficient labor justice.
