NLRC RAB XIII Facilitates Settlement of Over P2.7 Million in Labor Claims for Manufacturing/Plant Workers, Marketing Staff and Bus Driver

Butuan City – The National Labor Relations Commission Regional Arbitration Branch (NLRC RAB) XIII successfully facilitated the settlement of several labor disputes involving workers from the manufacturing, retail, and transport sectors, resulting in the release of monetary benefits amounting to more than ₱2.7 million.

The settlements covered the following cases:

• Nine (9) manufacturing workers of a manufacturing company received a total of ₱278,113.00, representing 13th month pay and other benefits;

• Nineteen (19) plant workers were awarded ₱489,364.64, covering salary differentials, holiday pay, and 13th month pay, also filed against a manufacturing company;

• Two (2) marketing staff from a retail trade company received ₱479,256.66, representing holiday pay, service incentive leave pay, and 13th month pay; and

• One (1) bus driver was granted ₱1,540,006.30, representing retirement benefits.

The successful settlements were facilitated by Executive Labor Arbiter Rotela Fatima A. Ortiz, with the assistance of Labor Arbitration Associate Robert M. Aying, Ms. Sylvia R. Maquinano, Administrative Officer V, and Ms. Marycil S. Aying, Administrative Officer I.

NLRC RAB XIII underscored the importance of amicable settlement as an effective mechanism for resolving labor disputes promptly while safeguarding workers’ rights. Through conciliation and mediation, the Branch continues to promote industrial peace and ensure that workers receive the benefits due to them.

The successful resolution of these cases reflects NLRC RAB XIII’s unwavering commitment to delivering accessible, fair, and efficient labor justice to workers and employers in the region.
