NLRC Fourth Division Facilitates Php11M Settlement for 33 Construction Workers
QUEZON CITY—Reinforcing its commitment to promote speedy and efficient resolution of labor disputes, the National Labor Relations Commission (NLCR) Fourth Division facilitated the amicable settlement of an appealed labor case involving 33 construction workers.
The settlement for the total amount of Php11,168,682.64 was facilitated by Atty. Tristan Jeremy S. Hao and Atty. Giancarlo Abelard D. Fernando from the Office of OIC Presiding Commissioner Leonard Vinz O. Ignacio on March 19, 2026. This represents judgment awards for the illegal dismissal complaint filed by welders, structural fitters, operators, production aide, tool keepers, carpenters, and laborers at a local construction company.
“We feel happy to receive this settlement because this is for our families,” one of the workers said.
This successful resolution reaffirms the NLRC’s role as a dependable venue for labor justice and fair dispute resolution, particularly in cases affecting the livelihood and welfare of Filipino workers.
