NLRC Fourth Division Facilitates PHP6M Settlement for BPO Operations Manager

QUEZON CITY—In a significant victory for both labor and management, and marking a speedy resolution of a labor dispute, a former operations manager in a business process outsourcing (BPO) company received Php6 million as a settlement award.

Commission Attorney Elineth R. Ravana of the Office of Commissioner Mary Ann F. Plata-Daytia facilitated the settlement conference between the operations manager and representative of the BPO firm, regarded as one of the year's most substantial resolutions involving a lone complainant within the BPO industry.

This successful settlement reaffirms the NLRC's role as a dependable venue for labor justice and demonstrates how alternative modes of dispute resolution can achieve outcomes that provide immediate relief for both parties, and contributed to the declogging of dockets of the Commission.
