LEGAZPI CITY – In a remarkable display of swift and effective resolution, the National Labor Relations Commission - Regional Arbitration Branch V in Legazpi City successfully settled simultaneous claims involving diverse sectors of the workforce.

The cases involved an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) serving as a domestic helper, a sales worker from a wholesaler company, and a warehouse staff member.  These workers sought recompense for various grievances, ranging from unpaid salaries to overtime pay discrepancies.

Firstly, the OFW domestic helper, whose wages were withheld for two months, amounting to a substantial sum of P70,000.00, found resolution as the manning agency responsible for her deployment stepped forward to settle the outstanding dues.  Labor Arbiter Gener T. Caño spearheaded the facilitation of this settlement, ensuring the OFW's rightful compensation.

Similarly, the claims of the sales worker, encompassing both unpaid salaries and overtime pay, were addressed by the employer, who agreed to settle the amount totaling P11,000.00.  Labor Arbitration Associate Martin M. Villaflor orchestrated this resolution under the guidance of Executive Labor Arbiter Cherry P. Sarmiento, ensuring the rights of the sales worker were upheld.

Additionally, the grievances of a warehouse staff member against a wholesale and retail company were resolved with a settlement amounting to P125,000.00.  Labor Arbitration Associate Martin M. Villaflor facilitated this resolution process, providing the necessary guidance to ensure a fair and equitable outcome for the aggrieved warehouse staff member.
