NLRC Facilitates P5.87-Million Judgment Award Releases 53 Workers of Manpower Agency

San Fernando, Pampanga – In a significant affirmation of labor justice, the National Labor Relations Commission - Regional Arbitration Branch III (NLRC-RAB III) facilitated the release of judgment awards totaling ?5,874,031.11 to 53 workers formerly employed by a well-known manpower agency.

The monetary settlement covers claims for backwages, separation pay, service incentive leave pay (SILP), and attorney’s fees, as ruled by the Commission. Voluntary compliance with the NLRC’s final decision was demonstrated by the respondent company through the full settlement of the awarded claims.

Occupying various roles such as warehouseman, utility staff, caretaker, electrician, helper, maintenance personnel, driver, skilled mechanic, and welder, the workers represented a diverse range of essential functions. Their claims were successfully processed and resolved under the supervision of Executive Labor Arbiter Roderick Q. Almeyda.

During the release of judgment award, the claimants personally received their respective checks. According to NLRC officials, the emotional moment reflected more than financial relief — it was a victory of fairness and workers’ rights.

This case stands as a manifestation to the power of collective action and the NLRC’s continued commitment to upholding labor laws. It also highlights how timely and voluntary compliance with decisions can serve as a model for effective, just, and humane labor dispute resolution.

The NLRC remains steadfast in its mission to protect workers’ rights and promote social justice through fair and efficient dispute resolution mechanisms.
