NLRC Deploys New Computers to Modernize Operations Nationwide

Quezon City — In a bid to strengthen its digital infrastructure and improve the delivery of labor justice, the National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) has deployed 474 brand-new desktop and laptop computers across all its offices nationwide.

The initiative, part of the Commission’s ongoing modernization and digitalization program, replaces outdated units that have long been in use by various divisions and regional arbitration branches. By providing upgraded computer systems, the NLRC seeks to enhance efficiency in case management, streamline administrative processes, and ensure more reliable access to electronic platforms such as the NLRC eCase Tracking System and other online services.

Chairperson Grace E. Maniquiz-Tan underscored the importance of modern and reliable equipment in supporting both the Commission’s frontline employees and its decision-makers. She noted that the initiative goes beyond simply replacing old computers, describing it as an investment in faster service, greater transparency, and improved access to justice for both workers and employers.

The replacement of obsolete units, according to the Commission, was also necessary to keep pace with the growing reliance on digital tools in adjudicating cases and delivering frontline services. The deployment further aligns with the government’s thrust toward digital transformation in public service, ensuring that labor dispute resolution remains fair, speedy, and cost-effective.

The newly deployed computers are expected to boost productivity across all NLRC offices, minimize technical delays, and improve coordination between the Commission’s central and regional offices.

Through this modernization effort, the NLRC reaffirms its commitment to providing timely, technology-driven, and people-centered labor justice.
